“The Catastrophist”: A Theatre Talkback

Presented by the Hendel Center for Ethics and Justice at JTS in Partnership with Marin Theatre Company and Round House Theatre

Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at 8 p.m. ET

Join Kendell for an expansive conversation with the team behind the acclaimed virtual drama “The Catastrophist.” It’s the story of real-life virus hunter Nathan Wolfe—who just happens to be the playwright’s husband—and a stirring meditation on scientific discovery, Judaism, family, life, and loss.

We’ll welcome playwright Lauren Gunderson (I and You; The Book of Will), virologist Nathan Wolfe (TIME 100 Most Influential People; founder of Global Viral and Metabiota), actor William DeMeritt (HBO The Normal Heart; HBOMax’s The Flight Attendant, The Death of The Last Black Man…at Signature Theatre), director Jasson Minadakis (Regional: The Whipping Man; Cat on a Hot Tin Roof).
